How does a logo identify your brand?
The logo design industry has been around for a while now. There are many different types of logo designs out there. Many of them have the same common goal, which is to communicate with the brand’s customers. Logos are one of the first thing your customer interacts with. They see it on your website, business cards, billboards and signboards. Thus, it is also often one of the things people use to assume about your company.
A professional logo immediately earns the trust of customers. It presents seriousness and class. It tells potential buyers that your brand is not a cheap knockoff.

Colour is an important part of a logo. Colour creates a visual appeal, tells a message and makes you stand out. Choosing the colour can make or break your logo. Logos can be black and white or multicolored.

Knowing their colours, you can decide whether to use similar colours to belong or a unique set of colours to look apart.
Typography
Typography is essentially font. Some logos effectively use typography alone to create their mark. This is called a Typography logo. When creating a logo with just the text, you choose the right font to go with your brand name. However, other brands can also be using the same font as you potentially creating an overlap. This makes it hard for your logo to stand out or feel unique. To combat this issue, typography designers can create personalized typography to create a unique experience.

An Image can be as simple as a line art symbol or can be a complicated piece of work. The two main objectives of an image in a logo are to give your audience information about your brand and to help you differentiate from other logos.
Your audience should also be able to recognize your logo when looking at it from different sizes.
Style
The style of your logo is also going to affect how your brand is portrayed. There are many types of logo styles but the main distinctive styles include Vintage and Modern.
Modern styles are mostly minimal and popularly used in tech companies and other cosmetic brands. Modern logos prioritizes simplicity over details. Thus, they are easy to remember and beautiful in their simplicity. Vintage/retro logos, on the other hand, are more detailed and gives an “old-school” vibe. Music, Bars and Brewery and Food & beverage brands often encompass vintage-styled logos. Vintage logos are great for industries that heavily seek out the longevity and experience of a company.

They are also headache free and low risk as the assigned project managers ensures your project is delivered on time. This option works best for companies and business owners who doesn’t have much time to spare on managing the project from start to end however it does come with a hefty price tag, often being too expensive for a startup company.
Work with your favorite freelance designer
There are lots of professional freelance logo creators in Myanmar. Each designer’s price can vary on number of concepts, workload and their level of expertise. Some designers have a specific style while other can work on a wider variety of styles. This will entire depend on the individual designer so it is important to look at their portfolio. Working with a professional graphic designer ensures you a similar level of guarantee for results but you have to put in more work yourself by finding/going to the proper designer.
Rates from working with a freelance designer in Myanmar can range from 10,000 mmk upwards of 200,000 mmk per logo depending on the designer. Are you in need of logo immediately? Running low on budget? Here is your solution. This is the one of the cheaper methods to get a logo. Logo-generators are applications that create logos automatically. They are simple and easy to use. You also don’t need any prior design knowledge. They generate logos within minutes. Of course the downside is that the designs within these apps are limited. The logos are not designed with your brand in mind. I would least recommend this option simply because your logo is not going to stand out well.

Creating it yourself
Should I create a logo myself?
By creating the logo yourself, you are provided 100% control of the project’s direction. If you are someone like me who likes DIY (do it yourself), logo creating process is very rewarding. Of course this approach is not recommended for everyone. Creating a logo is a time consuming task. Many of the designers go through years of learning to be able to come up with amazing designs. Without the understanding of the design fundamentals, you may find this approach challenging.
What software should I use to design a logo?
For starters, I would recommend Canva & Visme. They are one of the fewer apps that are newer user friendly. It also comes with lots of logo templates that you can build from. The plus side is that both Canva & Visme are free.
If you want to take it a step up, you can use professional software like Adobe Illustrator. In Illustrator, everything is created from scratch. This gives you more control over the design however, you’ll find it harder to use if you are a beginner.
Which is the best approach for you?
Each approach is different and the best option for you will depend on how you are going to use your logo.
Ask yourself, why do you need a logo? Do you need a logo design for a personal project?
If so, you’ll probably be good with anything as long as your budget supports for it. Since not much risk is involved, I’d recommend using logo generators or creating it yourself since they are quick and user friendly, affordable too! There are also lots of logo makers for free.
Do you need it for your new business? Is it a small to medium sized company or a large one?
There are many risks to having a bad logo. Having a bad logo means a logo that does not connect well with your customers. Let’s say your logo doesn’t do it’s job well. As a business you will be using your logo countless number of times: on emails, business cards, flyers, staff uniforms and more. It will cost you more to change a logo by then so before you begin, it’s better to do it right. You may want to start consider working with a professional agency or a graphics designer if you are starting a business.
